The great view of the sea and harbour as the great warm and helpful staff. The rooms are plain but very clean and confortable . Very European.
Everything was excellant
Nice location looking out towards Isola Palmaria - facilities/ rooms a little basic for the price and breakfast was really just cold meats and pastries but the pool deck and views were beautiful - conveniently located to beachfront and main PortoBooked.net restaurant strip.
The hotel is very good, comfortable, good location in PortoBooked.net. Unfortunately, in my opinion not suitable as a basis for exploring the Cinque Terre, because travelling facilities from PortoBooked.net to Cinque Terre are difficult. PortoBooked.net in itself is a very beautiful village with good restaurents, but unsuitable as basis for travel to other destinations.
This is a very dated (70's) hotel that is more than showing it's age. We stayed at the begining of the high season and paid far too much for not very good accomodation. The town of PortoBooked.net is worth a visit but I would not go back to the Royal Sporting.
Amazing views if your room faces the water, good facilities
Not much chop if your room isnt facing the water. Its a rather tired worn place for the money you pay
20 euros fpr parking
This Hotel can be likened to a club. Suits all ages. Very impressed, will come again.
View if you have a Ocean facing room
Beds were not that comfortable
Food was excellent and service was well above Italian standards... The day spa was also very good
I liked the location just outside the busy part of town and I liked the pool. The service at breakfast was very good, as was the food.
We did not like the beds or pillows. The pillows were hard as rocks and the beds were just cots. Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. The staff at the front desk could have been friendlier.
The location and the pool are fantastic.
The staff aren't very friendly. The walls must be made of cardboard as you can hear your neighbours breathing! The cleaners start vacuming at 8.30am so don't imagine a late start.
Food in restaurant was expensive and bad. Bathroom was small and old.
The spectacular view of the harbor.
No casual dining and no eggs at breakfast. Sorry we are spoiled!
The location was spectacular and room balcony overlooked water.
The food was very poor, bread was stale and we were told this was because it was a long weekend. The rooms were noisy and while the tiles on floor are functional they made for amplifying noise and we could hear conversations 2 floors down. The decoration in hotel is very 70's and could do with total refurbishment. Overall a beautifully located hotel but needs refurbishment and new chef
PortoBooked.net was a beautiful and interesting location offering access to cinque terre
My single room was only separated from the adjoining room by a sliding wooden partition so that even quiet conversation in the next room was completely audible.
